For the first time since the start of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry has reported that a drone was shot down over Russia’s Leningrad region. St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov said that no one was injured in Thursday’s incident.

Ukrainska Pravda, citing a source in Ukraine’s special services, reported that drones hit an oil depot in the region. “From now on, military facilities in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region are within the reach of Ukrainian forces,” the source told the publication.

Russia’s Defense Ministry also said that air defenses shot down a drone over Russia’s Moscow region early Thursday.
