Ukraine’s Defense Ministry considers sending out electronic draft notices

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry is considering the possibility of sending military-eligible Ukrainians an electronic draft notice instructing them to report to a military enlistment office, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said in an interview with the news outlet Suspilne.

According to Umerov, similar notices would also be sent to Ukrainian citizens residing abroad. He added that the Defense Ministry is working on technical solutions to make it a “civilized” process.

The minister didn’t specify whether the notices would be sent through Ukraine’s government services portal Diia, by email, or other means.
