Wagner Group has resumed its recruitment of fighters in Perm and Novosibirsk, the local news sites 59.ru and Ngs.ru reported on Wednesday.
A Wagner Group representative in Perm told journalists that the outfit has been incorporated as a unit into Rosgvardia, or the Russian National Guard, and is led by Pavel Prigozhin, the son of its founder, Yevgeny Prigozhin.
“We’re recruiting people who already have combat experience, including people who previously belonged to the PMC [private military company],” Pavel Prigozhin told 59.ru.
On October 27, a Wagner Group recruiter told the outlet iStories that it’s the “only detachment that has an official agreement with the Russian National Guard.”
