Alexey Navalny's team of anti-corruption activists has reported that Alexander Fedulov, one of the jailed opposition politician’s lawyers, failed to show up for a hearing he was scheduled to attend in Kovrov and is not answering his phone.
Anti-Corruption Foundation Director Ivan Zhdanov said on the YouTube channel Popular Politics that it’s too soon to say definitively that the Russian authorities have launched an investigation against Fedulov but that it is possible.
On October 13, three of Navalny’s lawyers — Igor Sergunin, Alexey Liptser, and Vadim Kobzev — were arrested on suspicion of being involved with an “extremist organization.”
