Russia’s federal censorship agency, Roskomnadzor, announced Wednesday that it has blocked the website of the stock image provider Shutterstock in Russia, according to state media.
The measure is reportedly a response to a ruling from Russia's consumer welfare agency, Rospotrebnadzor. “Destructive materials, including suicide and pro-drug content, have previously been hosted on the site multiple times,” said Roskomnadzor.
The agency added that it will unblock Shutterstock if the company deletes the offending content.
