Recruiters have begun searching on social media for potential attendees for an upcoming “concert-rally” at Moscow’s Luzhniki stadium to mark the ninth anniversary of Russia’s annexation of Crimea, according to the Telegram channel Sirena.
An announcement in a group called “Mega Volunteer Moscow,” which previously sought attendees for Russia’s February rally marking the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, promises volunteers free food, performances by popular artists, and a speech from Vladimir Putin at the event, which is slated for March 18.
According to the announcement, only people who sign up for the event in advance will be allowed to attend.
