Destroyed buildings in Russian-occupied Mariupol are being turned into concrete chips, which will in turn be used in road construction, according to Dmitry Khadzhinov, a representative of the occupying forces.
Khadzhinov says that buildings all over the city that cannot be rebuilt following the shelling of the city are being demolished. The Russian Ministry of Construction provided the facilities for processing the buildings into concrete chips, which will then be used for road construction.
According to Khadzhinov, there are at present around 2.5 million tons of rubble in Mariupol, covering 37 hectares (about 91 acres).
