President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky claims that the missile which struck Poland near the Ukrainian border was not launched by Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“I have no doubt, it was not our missile, and not our missile strike,” Zelensky said.
According to the Ukrainian president, he received reports from the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Air Force, and “I have to trust them.”
He also said that Ukraine should “participate in investigation” the incident.

Western countries, which support Ukraine in the war with Russia, are inclined to believe that the missiles that struck Poland were Ukrainian. President of Poland Andrezej Duda characterized the incident as “an accident” and suggested that, most likely, the missiles were a Soviet-made type used by Ukrainian air defense. President of the United States Joe Biden said it was “unlikely” that the missile was launched from Russian territory.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that Russian specialists, based on a photo from the site of the strike, identified an S-300 surface-to-air missile from the Ukrainian military.
