Russian forces continued to attack cities throughout Ukraine into Tuesday morning, according to local officials in the Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Ukraine’s southern air command reported that on Monday night and Tuesday morning, five Iranian-made “kamikaze” drones were intercepted by Ukrainian air defense forces in the Mykolaiv region, while three were shot down in the Odessa region.
Russian forces also carried out a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia, according to regional governor Oleksandr Starukh. The strike reportedly targeted infrastructure, though Starukh has not specified what kind.
Local official Anatoly Kurtev said the strike damaged a school, a hospital, and multiple residential buildings. He posted pictures of the strike site on Telegram.
