Thirteen civilians were killed in overnight shelling in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region. Another 11 people were wounded, including five who are in serious condition, said Valentin Reznichenko, the head of the regional administration.
According to Reznichenko, on the night of August 10, the town of Marganets and the village of Vyshetarasovka came under fire from the Russian army, who shelled the area twice with Grad multiple rocket launchers, firing a total of 80 shells.
In Marganets, more than 20 apartment buildings, the Palace of Culture, a dormitory, two schools, and several administrative buildings (including the city council building) were damaged, and power lines was knocked out.
In Vyshetarasovka, one private residence was completely destroyed after being hit by a shell. Another 11 houses and a gas line were damaged, leaving up to a thousand people without gas.
