Russia’s Secret Service, the Federal Protective Service (FSO), has filed a billion-ruble ($13-million) lawsuit against businessman Stanislav Kyuner, who was convicted of embezzlement during the construction of the presidential residence in Novo-Ogaryovo, RIA Novosti reports.

Kyuner’s lawyer declined to provide RIA Novosti with any details about the lawsuit. The FSO has yet to comment on the claim, as well.

Moscow’s Nikulinsky Court will hear the claim on December 23.

Kyuner, the former director general of a construction company Stroyfasad, was sentenced to eight years in a maximum-security prison in June 2020. He was found guilty of charges of involvement in an organized criminal group and embezzlement of funds. The trial was held behind closed doors.
