Katerina Tikhonova, whom journalists have said is one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s daughters, has joined the Russian executive branch’s Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sport.

The BBC Russian Service first reported on Tikhonova’s appointment, which was noted on the executive branch’s website.

Also among the new appointees to the council is Ksenia Shoigu, the youngest daughter of Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu. She will serve as the director of a half-marathon organizing committee.

Among other activities, Tikhonova takes part in national and international rock-and-roll acrobatic competitions. Shoigu directs multiple amateur sports organizations. Neither Putin nor Tikhonova have confirmed their relationship, but journalists have reported on it regularly since 2015.
