Timur the goat, ex-BFF of Amur the Tiger, sent to Moscow to recover from ‘instructive’ mauling
Timur the goat, mauled by ex-best friend Amur the Siberian Tiger, has been sent for treatment by a veterinarian surgeon in Moscow.
Timur and Amur had captivated animal lovers in November 2015, after the goat was placed in the tiger’s enclosure as “lunch.”
When Amur came to take Timur down, the goat bravely fought back, and the pair began to play with each other in an unusual case of inter-species friendship.
Months later, however, Timur began to get a bit too rough with his Siberian tiger playmate. The tiger decided he would teach the goat “a lesson… as he would a tiger cub.” Amur grabbed Timur the goat by the neck and threw him into the air.
After the “lesson,” Timur was separated from Amur to recover from his wounds. He seemed to have been coming along well, until his condition suddenly deteriorated.
Administrators at the Primorsky Safari Park decided to send Timur for treatment in Moscow. The treatment is expected keep him in the Russian capital for a month.
