Dissernet, a voluntary community of experts working to safeguard professionalism in Russian sciences and education, has found numerous citation errors in the doctoral thesis of former Health Minister Tatyana Golikova.
Tatyana Golikova defended her doctoral thesis, “Theory and Methodology for Intergovernmental Budgetary Relations Management in the Russian Federation,” in 2008.
Dissernet found more than two thirds of the thesis contains instances of plagiarism.
In addition, Dissernet also investigated her 2005 doctoral candidate dissertation. Dissernet found citation errors on approximately every third page.
In January 2016, Dissernet published a three year study into the doctoral theses written by Russian State Duma Deputies. It found that 49 State Duma Deputies had effectively plagiarized their work.
