Russia’s reasons for refusing to respond to Britain’s ultimatum

Source: Meduza
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday that Moscow doesn’t plan to respond to Britain’s ultimatum demanding an explanation for the poisoning of former GRU Colonel Sergey Skripal, who spent nine years spying for MI6. Lavrov noted that Russian experts haven’t been permitted to review the poisonous substance, saying that Prime Minister Theresa May’s allegations of Russian responsibility are “nonsense.” Without saying why, Moscow also summoned British Ambassador Laurie Bristow. London has given the Russian government until the end of the day on March 13 to respond.
