🪖 Ukraine begins withdrawing peacekeepers from Kosovo

Source: Meduza

Following a presidential order issued in March, Ukraine is finally withdrawing its 40 soldiers from the NATO-led international peacekeeping force in Kosovo. The move coincides with KFOR peacekeepers overseeing the removal of roadblocks that protesters had set up in protest against a now postponed plan by the Kosovo government to force require Serbs to apply for documents and car license plates issued by Kosovan institutions.

Military leaders in Kyiv did not explain why they’ve waited until now to begin withdrawing Ukraine’s contingent from Kosovo.
