Police are treating the attack on Tatyana Felgenhauer as an attempted murder
Update: Felgenhauer's case is being treated as an attempted murder, according to a press release by Russia's Investigative Committee.
Russian police are treating a violent knife attack on Ekho Moskvy journalist Tatyana Felgenhauer as an act of “hooliganism,” a source told the news agency Interfax.
“According to preliminary information, Tatyana Felgenhauer’s attacker was acquainted with the journalist. A personal motive is discernable in this incident,” the source said, arguing that the attack isn’t believed to be connected to Felgenhauer’s “professional activities.” The same source also claimed that Felgenhauer’s injury was the result of some sharp object, but not a knife.
