Source: Interfax

A court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced two women to multiple years in prison (14.5 years and nine years) for plotting a terrorist attack at a local shopping center.

According to prosecutors, the women are supporters of Islamic extremists and have expressed support for the terrorist organizations the Caucasus Emirate and the Islamic State.

Between October 2015 and January 2016, the women reportedly planned a suicide bomb attack, to be carried out by a third person — a young woman who confessed to the crime and was sentenced to three years in prison in late July.
