Nemtsov murder suspects apprehended

Two men have been detained in connection with the murder of Boris Nemtsov. Alexander Bortnikov, head of Russia's Federal Security Service, released their names to the press. 

According to Bortnikov, their names are Anzor Gubashev and Zaur Dadayev, raising speculation that the men are from Russia's North Caucasus. He did not provide any more details, including the suspects' possible motive.

Boris Nemtsov, a former deputy prime minister and prominent critic of Vladimir Putin, was shot to death in the center of Moscow, just minutes from the Kremlin, on Friday, February 27. Nemtsov was 55-years-old. Police have announced a reward of 3 million rubles (about $48,000) for information leading to the apprehension of the murderers.

Russia’s Investigative Committee has not revealed any details about its work on the murder case.
